Physical violence is considered a crime and yet emotional violence has been so rampant and continues to ruin lives everyday. When should the legal system step in and pass laws protecting the innocent from perpetual abuser at work and at home. Mounting scientific evidence showing how the human body stores emotional pain which then turns into disease in many cases terminal such as cancer. Unprocessed emotional pain, trauma resulting from repeated mental and emotional abuse ravage the body, the perpetual abuser essentially cause disease, financial loss, reputation loss and the list goes on and on. Why is it that if physical abuse when reported puts the abuser behind bars, while the bully at the office, the sadistic parent or partner at home face little to no consequence under the current system. Is the harm they cause society as a whole not severe enough to require legal measures to protect the victims?
